Green money-saving power source available for rural weddings
A remote energy supplier has launched a fleet of environmentally friendly, money-saving power generation machines suitable for use at events where mains electricity is unavailable.
Managing director of Off Grid Energy, Danny Jones, says: 'If you've planning an event in a rural environment where there's no mains electricity available - or it's unreliable - a generator has traditionally been the only option. But we all know the problems with generators; they are noisy, dirty and expensive to run. No one wants to give the best man's speech with a noisy generator in the background! We've produced a viable solution to generate clean, silent and cost effective energy and significantly reduce CO2 emissions which means it is also attractive to those planning 'green' events.'
The Mobile Hybrid Power Unit (MHP) is able to make use of energy generated by both renewable and conventional means. Some weddings would be able to be powered entirely through stored energy backed up by solar and wind power, but a diesel generator is called up automatically as a back up power source when the integral battery bank requires charging or energy demand is high.
Danny continues: 'With the sun shining, one unit powered an event for three full days without needing a charge and therefore no need for a generator at all.'
