Flamboyant Franc stars in new series
By Mary Ferguson
A FLAMBOYANT wedding coordinator is the star of a new TV series dedicated to planning the perfect marriage proposal.
'Franc' - real name Peter Kelly - runs Weddings By Franc in Cork and is taking part in the series for BBC Northern Ireland.
'An Engagement With Franc' involves the self-styled fairy godmother helping men - and women - plan proposals with a difference and will be aired later this year.
Since 2003, Franc has appeared in five television series and made a name for himself in Ireland as a star of the small screen.
He was originally approached five years ago by a production company who hunted him down as he is one of the only men working in a female-dominated industry.

Planners enjoy life in the spotlight
By Mary Ferguson
A BERKSHIRE wedding planning company is enjoying its time in the limelight as a second TV series on the business airs this Spring.
Devine Weddings, run by Adam Garrett and his sister Christine, are the stars of 'The Wedding Planners' a fly-on-the-wall series for Sky that follows them as they organise weddings throughout the season.
First approached by the production company three years ago, the pair turned down the offer as they were too busy but then reconsidered and starred in their first programme in 2006.
Originally scheduled for just one episode, they went on to feature in five and now the second series is dedicated to them.
